Accurate prayer times, calculated for where you are

SalahTime gives you precise daily prayer times for 144 cities across the Muslim world — from Cairo, Mecca and Medina to Jakarta, Karachi, Istanbul, London and New York. Every schedule is computed in your browser using established astronomical formulas: the sun's declination and the equation of time determine Fajr at dawn, Dhuhr at solar noon, Asr by shadow length, Maghrib at sunset, and Isha after twilight.

You can switch between eleven calculation methods used by religious authorities worldwide, including the Egyptian General Authority of Survey, the Muslim World League, Umm al-Qura of Makkah, ISNA, Karachi, Indonesia's Kemenag, Malaysia's JAKIM, Morocco, Jordan, Diyanet of Turkey and the UOIF of France. Choose Standard or Hanafi Asr to match your school of thought.

Our engine has been verified against the Aladhan API with a worst deviation of just 2 minutes across 23 city, date and method checks. Times are shown in your city's local time zone, work offline once loaded, and are completely free — no account, no signup, no tracking of your own.

    Frequently asked questions

How accurate are the prayer times?

Times are calculated with standard solar-position astronomy and verified against the Aladhan API — the worst deviation found was 2 minutes across 23 city/date/method checks. Still, please confirm with your local mosque, as mosques may add small precautionary offsets.

Which calculation method should I choose?

Use the method of your country's religious authority: Egyptian General Authority of Survey for Egypt, Umm al-Qura for Saudi Arabia, Diyanet for Turkey, and so on. SalahTime picks the right default automatically for each city; you can override it any time.

    Does SalahTime work offline?

Yes. Prayer times are computed entirely in your browser with no server requests, so once the page has loaded it keeps working without an internet connection.

    Is SalahTime free?

Yes — completely free, with no account and no signup. The site is supported by advertising.

    How are the times calculated?

From the sun's declination and the equation of time for your location and date: Fajr and Isha at fixed twilight angles (or minutes after Maghrib for the Makkah method), Sunrise/Sunset at 0.833° below the horizon, Dhuhr at solar noon, and Asr from shadow length. High-latitude locations use angle-based night-portion adjustments. See the Methods page for full details.
