About prayer times in Kano
Prayer times in Kano, Nigeria, shift a little every day as the sun's path changes through the year. Muslims here observe five daily prayers — Fajr before dawn, Dhuhr after midday, Asr in the afternoon, Maghrib just after sunset, and Isha at night — and this page gives the exact time of each, for every day of 2026. SalahTime computes them for Kano (12.0022, 8.5919) with precise solar-position mathematics, following the Muslim World League convention used in Nigeria. The “Today” card above always shows the current day's times, calculated live in your browser.
This timetable uses the Muslim World League convention (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°) — one of the most widely adopted standards in the world, and the common reference across the Gulf, Europe and much of Nigeria's printed calendars.
Kano keeps Africa/Lagos time (UTC+01:00), with no daylight-saving changes in 2026. SalahTime computes against the IANA timezone database, so any clock change is applied automatically — the times here always match the local clock in Kano.
