Dua of Arafah Day

Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhi 3585

Transliteration

Khayrud-du'a du'a yawm 'arafah, wa khayru ma qultu ana wan-nabiyyuna min qabli: la ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir

Translation

The best supplication is the supplication of the day of Arafah, and the best of what I and the prophets before me have said is: None is worthy of worship but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things.

What this dua means

The Prophet called this the best dua ever said, by him and all the prophets.

When to read it

Say it often on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, the day of Arafah.

Its virtue

It is the best dua on the best day of the year, when Allah frees more people from the Fire than any other day.
