Entering the Market

Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhi 3428

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ، وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ، بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Transliteration

La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, yuhyi wa yumit, wa huwa hayyun la yamut, biyadihil-khayr, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir

Translation

None is worthy of worship but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is the Ever-Living who never dies. In His hand is all good, and He has power over all things.

It fills a busy, heedless place with the remembrance of Allah.

Say it when you enter a market or shopping area.

Allah writes a million good deeds for the one who says it, erases a million sins, and raises him a million ranks.
