After Prayer

Make Me Steadfast in Prayer

Source: Qur'an 14:40

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ

Transliteration

Rabbi ij'alnī muqīmaṣ-ṣalāti wa min dhurriyyatī, rabbanā wa taqabbal du'ā'.

Translation

My Lord, make me steadfast in establishing prayer, and also from my descendants. Our Lord, accept my supplication.

What this dua means

Prophet Ibrahim's dua: make prayer the anchor of my life — and of my children's lives after me.

When to read it

Parents praying for their children, and anyone struggling to stay consistent in prayer.

Virtue

The dua of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), the father of the prophets — asking for prayer itself, the greatest of deeds.
