Waking Up at Night

Source: Sahih al-Bukhari 1154

Transliteration

Allahummaghfir li.

Translation

There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things. All praise belongs to Allah, glory be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, Allah is the Greatest, and there is no power except with Allah. O Allah, forgive me.

What this dua means

Waking words that turn a restless night into a moment of answered dua.

When to read it

Say it whenever you wake during the night, then ask Allah for whatever you need.

Its virtue

The Prophet said the one who says this and asks will be answered, and his prayer will be accepted.
