O Allah, By You We Reach the Evening

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ

Repeat: 1x

Transliteration

Allahumma bika amsayna, wa bika asbahna, wa bika nahya, wa bika namut, wa ilaykal-masir.

Translation

O Allah, by You we reach the evening and by You we reach the morning. By You we live and by You we die, and to You is the return.

What this dua means

You place the whole night in Allah's hands: by Him you reach the evening, by Him you live, and to Him is the return.

Every evening after Asr.

Ending the day as it began. Everything by Allah, returning to Allah.
