O Allah, By You We Reach the Morning

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ

Repeat: 1x

Transliteration

Allahumma bika asbahna, wa bika amsayna, wa bika nahya, wa bika namut, wa ilaykan-nushur.

Translation

O Allah, by You we reach the morning and by You we reach the evening. By You we live and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.

What this dua means

You place the whole day in Allah's hands: by Him you wake, by Him you live, and to Him is the return.

Every morning after Fajr.

Acknowledging that every moment, waking, sleeping, living, dying, is by Allah alone.
