Dua for Patience and Strength

Source: Qur'an 2:250

رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Transliteration

Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran, wa thabbit aqdamana, wansurna 'alal-qawmil-kafirin.

Translation

Our Lord, pour patience upon us, make our feet firm, and give us victory over the disbelieving people.

What this dua means

The believers' dua before battle: don't just give us patience — pour it over us like rain. And keep our feet firm so we don't run.

When facing something that needs endurance: illness, hardship, a long struggle.
