Keep My Heart Firm

Source: Qur'an 3:8

Transliteration

Rabbanā lā tuzigh qulūbanā ba'da idh hadaytanā, wa hab lanā min ladunka raḥmah, innaka anta'l-wahhāb.

Translation

Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.

What this dua means

Hearts turn. This dua asks Allah not to let yours turn away after He guided it — and to grant you mercy from Himself, for He is the Generous Giver.

When to read it

Daily, and whenever your faith feels shaky or the world pulls you away.

Virtue

The Prophet's ﷺ own constant dua was: 'O Turner of hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.' (Tirmidhi 3522) — this verse is its Quranic twin.
